They specialise in both high end and housing association new build houses and apartments and are currently looking to add an experienced quantity surveyor to their growing commercial team.The ideal candidate would have 4+ years’ experience or more with a UK residential developer on a permanent basis working on residential new build projects from inception to completion and will report directly into the Commercial Manager.ResponsibilitiesPrepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;Final Accounts;Perform risk, value management and cost control;Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;Allocate work to subcontractors;Provide advice on contractual claims;Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;CSCS Card desirableA degree or equivalent in Quantity SurveyingRICS membership would be desirable but not essential.Full Clean Driving Licence.Computer literateAble to meet deadlinesSmart and presentableAble to liaise with both internal and external partiesAttention to detailSelf-motivatedMust have experience working on a number of projects with minimal/no supervision as a Quantity Surveyor.In return my clients can offer a competitive salary of up to 55,000 plus a great package on offer including car allowance and pension with fantastic career progression within the company as they are known to retain staff and promote within.
