We are seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance & Quality Manager to lead and manage the compliance, quality, and assurance frameworks within a fast-paced rail, construction, and train depot operating environment. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the organisation maintains the highest standards of quality, safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory assurance. You will oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS), lead certification and accreditation activities, and provide expert guidance to support safe, compliant, and efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage ISO certification programmes, including:
- ISO 9001 β Quality Management
- ISO 45001 β Occupational Health & Safety
- ISO 14001 β Environmental Management
- Plan and coordinate external certification audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful outcomes.
- Act as the lead contact for RISQS accreditation, including audit preparation, evidence management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with Principal Contractor licensing requirements and associated assurance processes.
- Coordinate and lead client audits, inspections, assurance visits, and compliance reviews, ensuring timely closure of actions.
- Maintain the Quality Manual, ensuring document control, version management, and alignment with the wider IMS.
- Monitor, interpret, and implement changes to legislation, regulations, and industry standards affecting:
- Rail operations
- Construction
- Health & Safety
- Quality
- Environmental management
