Job ID: 20182Salary: 45,000 - 55,000Location: OxfordRegion: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, OxfordshirePinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Land Rights Surveyor to work for one of the fastest growing Utility Engineering contractors in the UK!You will be supporting major utility and infrastructure projects across London and the South West. This role is heavily focused on agricultural and rural land, working directly with landowners, farmers and local stakeholders.This is a people-focused role as much as a technical one. You’ll need a strong agricultural understanding, empathy for landowners and occupiers, and the ability to balance commercial delivery with doing the right thing on the ground.Salary – 45,000 – 55,000DutiesDeliver high-quality land and property advice on behalf of clients, taking ownership and pride in your workSecure land rights including wayleaves, easements, temporary possessions and land acquisitionsNegotiate compensation claims fairly and professionally, with a clear understanding of agricultural impact and reinstatementWork closely with design and delivery teams to ensure proposals align with consenting requirementsBuild trusted relationships with landowners, farmers, agents, clients and internal stakeholdersCommunicate clearly and confidently, managing expectations and resolving issues proactivelyLead collaborative working on projects, often based from site or project officesMaintain accurate records, provide client updates and ensure KPIs are metSupport and mentor junior team members where appropriateEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, best practice and professional standardsMaintain CPD and stay up to date with legal and technical developmentsRequirements RICS qualified, newly qualified, or qualified by experienceStrong agricultural and rural land knowledge is essentialExperience negotiating compensation and understanding reinstatement obligationsGeneral understanding of infrastructure or construction methodsFamiliarity with wayleaves, easements, land acquisition, CPOs and environmental consents (desirable)Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel
