Technical Manager urgently required for a large mixed-use scheme in Nine Elms, London. The scheme consists of around 900 residential units and a large number of commercial and retail spaces on the ground floor. The project is partway through and is a site-based role.
This role will suit someone from an architectural background who has moved into Technical Coordination and then Technical Management with either a developer or a major housebuilder. There are many design challenges on this scheme, including value engineering, architectural changes, and site optimisation to maximise the return from such a scheme, including additional staircase/fire escape for a building of this size.
It is a high-tempo, busy role which has many rewards for the right individual. You will have needed to have worked on major residential-led construction projects at either a house builder, developer, or consultancy. You must be fully up to date on all design legislation for such buildings and demonstrate your ability to lead and manage the Technical Coordinators on site while reporting into Senior Technical Managers and a Technical Director.
