Overview
As Senior Design Co-ordinator you will lead the design process for a large new-build RC frame apartment scheme in London.
You will coordinate designer and subcontractor inputs, manage approvals, and ensure designs meet programme, budget and specification targets.
You’ll work across Hertfordshire offices and site, shaping the project through BIM-enabled delivery while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
This role offers a chance to influence a 140-unit residential scheme and contribute to safe, sustainable construction.
You will be the design lead, guiding a multidisciplinary team to successful build-out.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design process and collate design information
- Coordinate consultant and subcontractor designs; chair design meetings and workshops; report progress
- Provide and coordinate detailed design information for construction and commercial teams
- Ensure design compliance with Employer’s Requirements and obtain client approvals for variances
- Manage statutory and technical approvals with authorities and warranty providers
- Negotiate fees, appoint design consultants, and schedule deliverables and warranties
- Maintain professional relations with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers and authorities
- Support Technical Managers and mentor junior staff
- Research and advise on alternative construction methods
- Key requirements
- Track record with a reputable Main Contractor on new build residential projects
- RC frame apartment experience on projects over 20m
- Strong communication and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of BIM processes; experience delivering projects via BIM is ideal
- Leadership skills with stakeholder influence
- Auto CAD essential; ASTA Power Project desirable; Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) essential
