A Regional Piling / Civil Engineering Contractor seeks an Experienced Project Manager to manage a variety of Piling / Ground Engineering Schemes in and across the UK varying in value up to £30m. Working as part of the management team, reporting to the Ops Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agent, Engineers, Foreman and Sub Contractors.
Ideal Candidate
- Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes.
- Previous experience of Piling, civil, earthworks, and ground Engineering.
- Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team.
Responsibilities
- To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction.
- Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over resourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division.
- Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely.
- Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff.
- Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients.
- To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance companies reputation and look to further business.
- To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager.
