Overview
As a Senior Estimator you will lead financial tenders from cost plan to negotiations, with a focus on two-stage tendering for residential projects. You will collaborate across departments to build accurate cost data and drive competitive bids for a reputable main contractor. The role partners with procurement and design teams to shape cost plans and ensure timely, high-quality submissions. This position offers permanent work from Farnborough within a national contractor known for delivering large public projects. You will impact project outcomes by improving cost certainty and bid success, supporting the company’s residential and multi-sector portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost plans
- Collate KPIs and benchmarking data for cost plans
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and house/flat type BoQs
- Assist coordination of specialist subcontract procurement
- Tender packaged works and procure items to support cost plans
- Maintain a library of cost data
- Evaluate new products/methods with cost comparisons
- Coordinate with other departments to leverage build data in cost plans
Key requirements
- Degree or professional body membership (preferred)
- Strong track record with a reputable main contractor or developer
- Solid understanding of the residential housebuilding sector
- Commitment to meeting deadlines
- Teamwork-oriented attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to commute to North London
- Experience with two-stage tendering and cost planning
