Job ID: 4839Salary: up to 75,000 + pkgLocation: ExeterRegion: South WestWe are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to work for a major civil engineering contractor on a 40m Depot project within the South West.The position requires a working knowledge of the Rail industry, coupled with the experience of using the major forms of contract and demonstrable understanding of Major Projects.Your key responsibilitiesCommercial Lead for the projectProvide support and advice to commercial and project management teams.Efficiently manage of all financial functions including;– Cost management of project– Forecast cost to completion– Management of CV systems– Financial reportingLiaise with client and stakeholders on all commercial matters.Management of change controlWhat we are looking forDegree qualified, ideally RICS or ICES memberExperience in using major forms of contract including NECSenior Commercial leadership of Rail/Civil Engineering projectsA strong appreciation of the Rail sector, ideally from direct project experienceAbility to demonstrate claims production, negotiation and adjudication knowledgeExtensive working knowledge of commercial processes, including contract analysis and risk management
