Job ID: 5352Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 + packageContact: RobPhone: 07733 529 573I have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a dynamic, growing Main Contractor on a permanent basis, based out of their offices in Colchester, Essex.The company have been operating for close to 20 years’ and turnover in excess of 30m. They carry out a range of new build and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, automotive, healthcare, education, sports and leisure and retail, up to 12m in value.The business is expanding and with a large number of projects ongoing and in the pipeline, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team by bringing in an experienced Estimator to support the Senior Estimator.Role and responsibilities to include:Review incoming tenders and report to the Senior EstimatorProduce tender returns in accordance with schedule producedList out tender requirements outside of cost / value items and agree responsibility with Construction Director – e.g. Programmes, presentation documents etc.Chase tender responses and feedback regardless of outcomeAttend to post tender queries, clarifications and value engineering optionsAssess and schedule cost saving / value engineering solutions on ongoing basis throughout tender in order that this information is available for use post submissionAttend tender interview meetings as agreed with Commercial DirectorAttend internal pre-contract meetings to handover project to appointed management teamMeasurement from drawings manually and electronicallyExperience: Ideally Degree qualified or other relevant qualificationTrack record working for a reputable Main ContractorExperience working on a range of projects across multiple sectors up to 12mAble to take off from drawingsAble to commute to Colchester on a daily basisIf you are an Estimator with the right experience and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573
