Pinnacle Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager on behalf of a leading construction contractor with a well-established presence across the UK and Ireland. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in Greater London with defence sector experience to join a high-performing team delivering complex, high-value construction projects.
About the Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of large-scale construction projects across Greater London, managing all commercial, operational and health & safety aspects from procurement through to handover. This role is ideally suited to a driven construction professional with a strong track record in senior project management and a background in defence sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of contract requirements, conditions of contract and tender pricing strategy
- Create and manage an effective Procurement Schedule in conjunction with the Project Quantity Surveyor
- Lead the subcontractor procurement process, ensuring timely appointment of all packages
- Conduct regular commercial reviews across all cost and value aspects of the project
- Manage the CVR process and identify commercial opportunities including contractual claims
- Attend and play an active role in subcontractor Pre-Start meetings
- Work closely with the pre-construction team on programme development, construction methodology and logistics
- Compile and manage an Information Release Schedule for all designers, clients and statutory bodies
- Ensure daily safety briefings and coordination meetings with subcontractors are carried out
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the project and ensure effective implementation
- Ensure Project H&S Files, O&Ms and Building Manuals are produced and submitted on time
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Confirm all quality standards are understood across the project team and supply chain
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in a construction-related discipline
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Project Manager within a construction contractor
- Defence sector project experience
- Strong commercial and risk awareness with the ability to deliver to budget
- Experience managing the full contractor procurement process
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
