Overview
Senior leadership role leading the entire Town Planning function within a growing multidisciplinary property consultancy. You will oversee planning across multiple offices, coordinating large residential-led schemes and diverse project types from LA/HA to education. You will drive business development, secure new opportunities, and manage a planning team to deliver schemes from feasibility through approvals. The role offers strong career progression and a collaborative, high-growth environment across London, Cambridge, East Anglia, Chelmsford, and Bicester.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Town Planning function across all offices and oversee the planning team
- Coordinate and deliver large-scale residential-led schemes (up to 10,000+ units) and other schemes (LA, HA, education)
- Drive business development and win new planning projects
- _manage and develop a team of planning professionals across locations
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to navigate planning approvals
- Strategically plan service delivery and ensure consistency across the consultancy
- Support cross-disciplinary collaboration within the firm to align planning with other services
Key requirements
- Experience in planning or multidisciplinary consultancy or client-side in a developer/landowner context
- Proven track record with large-scale residential schemes
- People management and multi-office leadership experience
- Ability to secure new business and manage client relationships
- Location flexibility to operate across London, Cambridge, East Anglia, Bicester, and Chelmsford
