Permanent position with a well-established company. Currently seeking an experienced Sub Agent to work for a UK tier one main contractor on a major project.

Requirements:

  • Previously worked for a main contractor and must be a UK resident.
  • Degree qualified with a career spanning more than 2+ years, working on a wide variety of infrastructure construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Construction and Engineering Contracts (NEC 2/3), framework contracts and experience working with beams, piling, capping, reinforced concrete frames, highways, new builds and any other heavy civil works.
  • Multi-discipline preferred but all experience will be considered.

Duties:

  • Short to long term programming and scheduling of works.
  • Procurement.
  • Management of Sub-Contractor’s account.
  • Weekly Progress reporting.
  • Management of safety and quality on site.
  • Producing of method statements and Risk assessments.
  • Writing of work package plans.
  • Third party communications.
  • Supervision and coaching of Site Engineers.
  • Reporting directly to Site Agent.
  • Preparation of quarterly forecast schedules and budget.
  • Cost monitoring.
  • Demonstration of Value Engineering.
  • Workforce task briefing.
  • Temporary and falsework site checks.
  • Use of relevant standards relevant to task at hand, e.g. Specification for Highway works (Series 600).
  • Production of lift plans.

Areas: London, West London, Reading. Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
