A highly successful, established client is seeking a highly experienced, hard working and motivated Site Engineer to join their team within the western region on heavy civil engineering projects. The role is based in the Worcestershire area, seeking a candidate within the Civil Engineering industry who is ready to progress their career thoroughly in this role.
The main duties of the candidate will be:
- Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and undertaking traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
- Reading and reviewing construction drawings
- Undertaking basic take-offs
- Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
- Having a good commercial understanding and knowing the difference between cost and value
- Carrying out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification
- Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedure
