Site Agent – Highways Home » Civil » Site Agent – HighwaysSalary: £40000-50000Location: South EastRegions: South East, Surrey We are looking to recruit an experienced Site Agent to work with a well known UK contractor working on multi discipline heavy civil and highways projects across the South East of England. The ideal candidate will be successful and responsible for co-ordinating all technical aspects, procure materials and co-ordinate sub-contractors ensuring that quality and costs are controlled.Ideal candidate requirements:Will be educated to HNC/HND Civil Engineering or Degree standard desirableExtensive Highways/Infrastructure experiencePrevious experience as an Agent with a main civil engineering contractor on projects up to £5 to £10mStrong commercial awareness and ability to manage costs, customers and supply chainHigh familiarisation with HS&E StandardsLeading a team of engineersCustomer focus exposure to management leadershipPrecast experience and experience of managing projects with high levels of public interfaceContributes to the tender and pre-qualification process if requiredWorks within the Company Standards – business plan, HSQE, CSR, Procurement/Supply, Finance, HR etcDuties:Plan, programme, set up and run project with support/guidance if requiredProduce & monitor resource programmes and costingsUnderstand and lead the planning processCan control and monitor forecast costsDeliver profitability that exceeds normal tender margins wherever possibleAct as ambassador for the company with customers, suppliers, public, employees etcDevelop and sustain good working relationships with customers and employees that contribute to the success of theproject and businessManage and evaluate risk and opportunity and act for the good of the CompanyRepresent the Company on contractual issues if requiredAble to develop and support employees under their supervisionHas knowledge of Conditions of ContractBenefits include: Car/Car allowance, Company Pension and Health Care.If this role for a Site Agent is of interest please email an up to date cv to james @pinnaclerecruitment.com.
