A Senior Town Planner is urgently required for a highly successful house builder in the North London and northern Home Counties.
The role requires an experienced senior town planner that will support the land and planning team, you will be involved in sites from acquisition and helping with background research you will also be assisting on major schemes, working with the Land and Planning Team, you will meet regularly with all the departments. In addition, you will be given the necessary guidance from the Land and Planning Department to establish your role and build your experience working on some significant projects in London.
Job responsibilities:
- Communication – maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, GLA , consultants and agents. You will also liaise and negotiate with planning officers, architects, consultants and third parties. You will also liaise and negotiate with planning officers, architects, consultants, third parties
- Planning appraisal – you will undertake research and analysis in preparing due diligence for potential acquisition sites also you will be preparing for briefs to architects from feasibility stage through to the planning instruction. You will assist the Head of Planning in the preparation of briefs to architects from feasibility stage through to planning instruction.
- Development management – for this responsibility you will be preparing planning applications, including planning statements. Preparing and manage planning budgets also preparing and manage programs, you will be planning to coordinate consultant team from acquisition through to determination of the planning application. - Meetings – you will be attending land and planning meetings and keep management team fully informed. You will also plan/make presentation at meetings, public consultation and planning committees.
To apply for this role you will need to have 2-5 years’ experience ideally at Planning Consultancy or Developer, relevant London Authorities/GLA Experience also desirable, you will need to be MRTPI qualification, be computer literate including Microsoft Office.
