Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive Rail experience? We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to head up the commercial team on our new rail project which is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a £55mil rail project commencing immediately. The project is multidisciplinary including Design, Track, OLE, Signalling and Civils Works and will require someone with relevant experience, ideally someone who is local to Newcastle.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement Commercial Strategy for the project to ensure successful Commercial delivery.
- Procure and manage Subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit Client Applications for Payment.
- Internal and external management reporting.
- Compile, submit and agree Variations.
- Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
- Contract Administration.
- Liaising with project Planner.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Relevant professional qualification with experience of Rail commercial contract management upstream and downstream with proven experience.
- Strong experience of the types of contract prevalent within our industry including NEC etc.
- Track record of delivering successful projects and demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects at any one time.
