Pinnacle Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager on behalf of a leading construction contractor with a well-established presence across the UK and Ireland. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in Greater London with defence sector experience to join a high-performing team delivering complex, high-value construction projects.

About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of large-scale construction projects across Greater London, managing all commercial, operational and health & safety aspects from procurement through to handover. This role is ideally suited to a driven construction professional with a strong track record in senior project management and a background in defence sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of contract requirements, conditions of contract and tender pricing strategy
  • Create and manage an effective Procurement Schedule in conjunction with the Project Quantity Surveyor
  • Lead the subcontractor procurement process, ensuring timely appointment of all packages
  • Conduct regular commercial reviews across all cost and value aspects of the project
  • Manage the CVR process and identify commercial opportunities including contractual claims
  • Attend and play an active role in subcontractor Pre-Start meetings
  • Work closely with the pre-construction team on programme development, construction methodology and logistics
  • Compile and manage an Information Release Schedule for all designers, clients and statutory bodies
  • Ensure daily safety briefings and coordination meetings with subcontractors are carried out
  • Oversee all administrative aspects of the project and ensure effective implementation
  • Ensure Project H&S Files, O&Ms and Building Manuals are produced and submitted on time
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Confirm all quality standards are understood across the project team and supply chain

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in a construction-related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience as a Senior Project Manager within a construction contractor
  • Defence sector project experience
  • Strong commercial and risk awareness with the ability to deliver to budget
  • Experience managing the full contractor procurement process
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
