Our client is one of the largest civil engineering companies in the UK, with renowned experience in the successful delivery of technically demanding, multi-disciplinary civils projects. Due to securing multiple Civil Rail Projects, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to work on the CP5 project based out of East London, with potential involvement in CP6.
To be considered for this role:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Previous experience on Civil Rail Projects for a UK Contractor
- 10+ years of UK Civil Engineering experience
- Currently in a Senior PM, Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or Project Engineer role
- Projects based in London and Outer London
The Role:
- Reporting directly to the Operations Director
- Overseeing projects from start to finish
- Project planning, budgeting, and resource identification
- Building teams, developing goals, and assigning responsibilities
- Monitoring construction progress and holding regular stakeholder meetings
- Ensuring project documentation is in order
- Coordinating all parties involved in the project
- Maintaining high health and safety standards on site
- Managing site activities and resolving site issues
- Delivering projects within budget and on schedule
- Ensuring high-quality project finishes
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Senior/Project Manager or Contracts Manager in a main civils contractor environment
- Ability to demonstrate a track record of dealing with clients at a senior level
- Significant post-qualification experience managing civils/rail projects of £20 million or more
- 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience
