Quantity Surveyor – Highways (S.E)
Salary: £45000 – £55000
Location: South East/Herts/Bucks/Berks/Surrey/M25
Regions: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, South East, Surrey
We are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work for a UK leading contractor on both Highways & Smart Motorway projects across the South East, Home counties and M25.
Experience Required:
- A good understanding of Civil engineering and Highways measurement principles and able to apply these to preparing Target Costs, Cost Plans, PIDs and Valuations (Taking off from the drawings and preparing BOQs or Schedule of Activities as per requirement).
- Ability to engage and communicate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third parties.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of IT systems (Microsoft Office).
- At least 5+ years’ experience in Construction performing commercial duties.
- You must be conversant with NEC3 conditions of contract, particularly options A, B, C and E.
Role Info:
- Production and review of CVR’s.
- Carry out site measurements or liaise with operations teams for assessing subcontractors’ payment applications and final accounts.
- To ensure that liabilities are put on the contractor payment management system as per subcontractors’ application figures.
- Prior experience on how to receive and regularly update the records as per subcontractor record sheets.
- Experience on how to carry out cost management by using CVR technique.
