We are currently looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to work for a Regional Contractor based in Leeds, specialising in a range of civils engineering disciplines. This role will be focused towards their Rail Division, on projects up to the value of £10m with high profile clients, one being Network Rail.
The Ideal Candidate will be:
- Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
- 4-5 years post graduate experience working for a main contractor
- Experience using NEC forms of contract
- Experience within rail or heavy civil engineering disciplines
Specification:
- Contribute to the successful Commercial Performance of a limited complexity Contract or section of a medium Project
- Ensure full compliance with commercial processes
- Ensure Subcontract administration
- Develop effective relationships with Customers and ensure the timely provision of information to all
- Work in conjunction with the Operations team to identify, escalate and mitigate risks
- Ensure insurance claims are notified in accordance with requirements and that the necessary data relating to claims is compiled
- Contribute to the Safety Leadership of the Project/Contract
- Ensure that accurate timely commercial advice is provided
- Work to exceed expected quality standards, comply with processes and contribute to improvements
