Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Project Manager to work for one of the largest construction firms in the UK. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client's team delivering drainage and civil engineering works on HS2 in Aylesbury.
Duties
- Managing all site construction activity, with a particular focus on drainage works, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Leading operational teams and subcontractors, ensuring competence, compliance, and clear communication.
- Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and managing plant, materials, and labour efficiently.
- Reviewing and approving RAMS, Temporary Works, and lifting operations in line with legislation and company procedure.
- Preparing and reviewing weekly site reports, progress updates, and construction programmes.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- Promoting a strong safety culture, visual leadership, and alliancing behaviours with clients and stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes, share best practice, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong background in civil engineering and drainage or utilities projects, with substantial experience managing people, budgets, and complex construction programmes.
- Be confident in making decisions on temporary works, lifting operations, and CDM compliance.
- Hold a degree or equivalent experience, and ideally have IOSH, ILM Level 3, or formal CDM training.
- Full NRSWA qualifications, Temporary Works training, and experience with NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities, lead by example, and build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
