A Regional Civil Engineering Contractor, with offices throughout the UK, is looking for a Civil Rail Project Manager to join their Regional office near Milton Keynes, working for the Rail Infrastructure team on the Minor Works Framework and various projects for Network Rail.

It is vital that you have a history of working on civil engineering projects within a rail environment and you will be from an Engineering background, preferably with a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering, a CSCS card and PTS. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to get the most out of the people working for you. Knowledge of the North Wales Network Rail Region would be advantageous but not essential.

Location: London, South East

Reporting to: Senior Contracts Manager

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
  • Site Supervision
  • Delivery of works to program & budget
  • Producing Health & Safety plans & Work Package Plans
  • Writing Risk Assessments
  • Temporary Works
  • Pre-start site inspections
  • Planning (including road closures and possessions)
  • Tool box talks & HSEQ briefings
  • Providing plant & materials
  • Client liaison

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000
