We are currently seeking a Project Manager to work for a major civil engineering contractor based in Central London working on a major station upgrade valued at £30m, with the site office based in East London.
Your role will involve:
- Responsible for the business results of the project
- Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
- Communicate all project requirements to the project team
- Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
- Incorporate client service-providers in the project team and allocate and define work
- Establish communications with Client/Representative
- Organize the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
- Implement the management system within the project team
- Lead HSQE management
- Approve Project IMS Plan and appoint duties
- Evaluate opportunities and risks
- Organise planning management
- Establish procurement deadlines
- Review and revision of contract programme
- Establish works packages
- Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub-contractors and suppliers
- Contract management and supervision of project progress
- Responsible for project controlling
- Change management process
- Collaborate in the recruitment of staff
- Identify and coordinate training requirements
- External depiction of the project in consultation with the HUK management
- Assist in staff recruitment
- Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reporting
What we are looking for:
- Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous experience on large scale Rail projects
- Commercial, Financial, Project and Programme management experience
- Excellent leadership and tendering skills
- Good level of numeracy and IT skills – MS Office, Word, Excel etc
- Strong team player who is self-motivated and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Full UK Drivers licence
In order to be considered for this position, you must be eligible to work on a permanent basis in the UK (EU, Indefinite Leave to Remain or British Passport) and come from a Civil Engineering background, with a solid understanding of Network Rail, London Underground and Transport for London procedures.
