A Civil / Highways contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to work within their Highways team responsible for a D&B Highways project within the southern region. They are successful in delivering a number of high profile projects and to accommodate available workload and future expansion, there are exciting opportunities for Project / Contracts Managers to work on projects within Highways, highways frameworks and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience in working in a variety of civil engineering sectors including roads/highways
- HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
- Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
Responsibilities
- To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients' specifications and to ensure client satisfaction where possible
- To plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over resourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
- To coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
- To ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
- To jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
- To liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
- To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance reputation and look to further business
- To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager
- Ability to manage all personnel within your control professionally and effectively
