My client is a residential developer specialising in new build developments in both traditional build and reinforced concrete schemes. We are looking for an experienced Technical Coordinator/Project Architect to join our North London office as the new Technical Manager.
You will oversee the technical and design team, working closely with technical coordinators throughout the development process. Your responsibilities include managing full working drawings packages, collaborating with the architectural team to ensure timely delivery, and liaising with commercial and production teams during the project lifecycle.
Skills & Experience Required
- Good strong knowledge of the development/technical design process.
- Strong proven knowledge of detailed design for residential schemes utilising different forms of construction, including RC frame and timber frame.
- Ability to question and query design information across all disciplines.
- Architectural background; proficiency in AutoCAD beneficial.
- Sound understanding of statutory requirements including Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and Sustainability, with an ability to interpret and negotiate compliance.
- Ability to understand and interrogate design and project programmes, particularly identifying critical paths.
- Educated to degree level or in possession of a relevant professional qualification.
- Excellent communication skills with all disciplines at all levels.
- Well organised and capable of organising others.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage people, processes and time.
- Strong team player who can communicate effectively.
- Must be able to liaise with commercial and production teams throughout the development.
Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary up to £70,000 plus package (Pension, Healthcare, bonuses, holiday, etc.).
