We are looking for a Senior/Managing QS to work for a leading engineering and construction company providing services to the building, civil engineering, highway & rail markets. You will be working on multiple projects across the South East with values between £700k and £10m, managing various subcontractors covering earthworks, concrete, bridges, structures and drainage. The role requires developing commercial and operational presence in the region while maintaining performance on live projects under NEC3 contracts.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation to ensure terms and risks are suitable and mitigation implemented.
- Produce accurate and timely commercial project reports.
- Procure subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and manage financial accounting.
- Ensure commercial risks identified at tender stage are carried through post-contract and delivery.
- Supervise the performance of the commercial aspects of projects.
- Prepare interim valuations and agree final accounts.
- Lead negotiation and settlement of disputes in relation to customer and supplier accounts.
- Identify early warnings, compensation events, and manage commercial disputes under NEC3 contracts.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and experience delivering projects from award to handover.
- Experience managing projects valued between £700k and £10m within civil, highway or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven ability to negotiate with subcontractors and resolve disputes.
- Excellent commercial reporting and financial management skills.
