Qualifications
- The successful candidate ideally needs to be educated to degree level with relevant Town Planning Knowledge and MRTPI accreditation.
- Minimum of 7 years post qualification private sector experience working either for a residential developer, or in the residential team of a planning & development consultancy.
Job Description / Responsibilities
- The role requires a forward-thinking, proactive approach which is essential to the Planning function from land bid stage through to securing planning permission.
- You will manage the planning function from site identification through to delivery of infrastructure on site.
- Working within a development team, the role will include creation of planning strategies in addition to monitoring and discharge of planning commitments and conditions, and promotion of planning applications.
- Deadline driven, you must be reliable and flexible and able to act on your own initiative.
- It is essential to the Planning function that you will also provide expert knowledge on current government legislation and planning policy and offer well considered appraisals on the planning prospects of potential sites.
- You will be required to manage the company's current large scale development project to ensure all development control matters, including planning obligations, conditions and phased reserved matters applications, are carefully planned in addition to promoting potential large scale strategic sites through the planning system.
- Line management responsibilities will be required, therefore excellent leadership skills are essential to the role.
