A Regional Contractor is currently seeking a Project Manager, specifically with London Underground experience to lead a number of projects and assist with work winning. Project value will vary from £5m – £10m, with new work being awarded in the near future.
Personal Specification
- Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous experience on rail projects, in particular LU
- Commercial, Financial, Project and Programme management experience
- Excellent leadership and tendering skills
- Good level of numeracy and IT skills – MS Office, Word, Excel etc
- Strong team player who is self‐motivated and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Full UK Drivers licence
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the business results of the project
- Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
- Communicate all project requirements to the project team
- Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
- Establish communications with Client/Representative
- Organize the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
- Implement the management system within the project team
- Lead HSQE management
- Approve Project IMS Plan and appoint duties
- Evaluate opportunities and risks
- Organise planning management
- Establish procurement deadlines
- Review and revision of contract programme
- Establish works packages
- Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub‐contractors and suppliers
- Contract management and supervision of project progress
- Responsible for project controlling
- Change management process
- Identify and coordinate training requirements
- Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reporting
- Collaborate in the recruitment of staff
