We are looking to recruit an experienced Highways Engineer (min 2-3 years) to join a leading Highways contractor working across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

You will be responsible for the planning and completion of projects and you will also support all operational activities on the schemes taking place throughout the area. You will be responsible for labour, subcontract and material resources, ensuring that they are available as and when required. You will be involved with the process of ensuring the timely procurement and payment of suppliers and subcontractors.

Preparing and submitting weekly reports on progress for review including; project’s financial CVRs and forecasts to completion. Attend monthly meetings with client to discuss project delivery and progress on the works being delivered. Working closely with internal and external traffic management teams to deliver the works, as necessary. Identifying and allocating resources internally and externally to the defect works alongside the planning team.

There will be an element of engineering works involved so a proven track record in highway or motorway maintenance will be essential and a degree in civil engineering would be advantageous.
