Highly regarded investment Developer who have acquired a number of large major projects of around 3,000 + units urgently require a Development Manager for their busy team in Surrey.
The role will be to support the Development Director in bringing to fruition a number of schemes that are in early planning stages to take to disposal or construction stages. All schemes will be large mixed use type that will include S106 and social infrastructure elements in addition to retail, leisure and traditional type housing and low rise flats. These schemes will generally be in home counties and such areas and will generally be from strategic purchases, greenfield and other related type sites.
The role will be looking after large consortium type developments and the successful applicant will be well versed at looking after a number of different Land owners, manage all aspects of the planning process, be able to manage a large team of over 20 consultants dealing with roads & infrastructure including water and potential electricity services, roads & highways in addition to dealing with local authorities, planning officers, design consultants, legal agreements in addition to procurement of the infrastructure.
The aim of this role in addition to the above is to package up ‘serviced parcels’ which will then be sold on to other developers, housebuilders and contracting companies including potentially this company's house-building arm.
This role will suit somebody who has at least 8 years Development Management experience in the form of planning and running the front end, you will need to have ran major developments of 1000+ units as a Development Manager, be used to working large greenfield type sites, be exposed to mixed use and have experience of procuring and managing all of the roads and infrastructure.
