My client is an established construction company that has expanded by opening a new start-up construction firm operating as a subcontractor. The successful candidate will work closely with the director to expand the business. It is essential that the ideal candidate is proactive and enterprising. The role involves seeking new opportunities, generating leads, and converting existing leads.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Researching new sales avenues, companies, and contacts
- Monitoring competitors’ activities and industry news
- Pitching to potential clients
- Cold calling
- Attending events
- Visiting sites across the UK to establish and monitor leads, and oversee company activities
- Maintaining relationships with staff, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and third parties
- Leading, motivating, developing, and managing staff if required
- Monitoring sales performance and reporting to the director
Mandatory skills & experience:
- Prior experience in sales and business development
- Proficiency in Word & Excel
- Excellent spoken English
- Owns a car
Availability: Full time; 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday. Office located in Paddington (4-minute walk from the station; parking not available).
Remuneration: £30,000 basic salary. Uncapped earnings on typically six-figure sales contracts.
