A leading Regional Main Contractor has an excellent opportunity for a BIM Manager to join them on a permanent basis, based from their Cambridgeshire offices. The company has been around for many years and has achieved continuous growth and success, combining traditional values with an innovative and forward-thinking approach.
As a business, they provide design, sustainable, partnered construction and project management services for private and public sector clients on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, up to £50m in value. They carry out new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects in sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, leisure, retail, industrial, defence, heritage and housing.
This BIM Manager will work closely with the Development Director and will act as lead on BIM implementation and coordination across all schemes within the Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for leading the full BIM design and coordination process
- Support the Pre-Construction Teams in order to win future projects
- Participate in tender interviews as required to secure future projects
- Conduct BIM Competency Assessments
- Assist Project Managers to ensure that the Consultants Scope of Works and BIM Design responsibility Matrix are project specific
- Responsible for the Review of the BIM outputs / objectives agreed by the Design, Commercial and Production Teams
- Organise and chair/participate in BIM Kick-off Meetings and Design Review Meetings
- Review consultant Building Information Models
- Ensure further development of in-house BIM capabilities within the Technical Department
- Provide BIM awareness and the necessary training to other members of the Company
- Identify training needs specific to site and provide as required
