Estimator – Highways

Salary: £50,000 – 60,000
Location: South East & London
Regions: London, South East

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to be based in Hertfordshire, working for a market leading contractor in infrastructure & highways, requiring a minimum of 4 years experience.

You will be required to support the delivery of a wide range of civils and highways related projects across the SE and London.

Responsibilities:

  • Log all Tenders in/out of Tender System.
  • Take off ability using Adobe Pro or CAD.
  • Complete financial tender documents and tender submission/delivery arrangements.
  • Scanning and electronic file transfers into the Estimating System.
  • Tender data analysis in Excel, e.g., Sub Contractors/Suppliers rates.
  • Estimating from first principles.
  • Understand and produce tender programmes with assistance.
  • Actively foster positive staff morale.
  • Risk analysis of schemes.
  • Value Engineering and assessment of opportunities to add value to tenders.
  • Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the estimating team.
  • Experience with civil schemes.
  • Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Confident.
  • Good communicator.
