An established, dynamic main contractor with a strong reputation within the construction industry specialises in delivering residential, education, healthcare, commercial and heritage projects across London with contract values up to £20,000,000. They offer a variety of first‑class comprehensive services with very good client relationships due to a track record of completing projects on time, to budget and to the highest standards. Due to their growing success and innovative business they are currently seeking an ambitious, experienced Sub-Contract Buyer to join the team. The role will be based out of their office near East London.

Sub-Contract Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Accountable for subcontract placements and procurement
  • Liaise with the contracts management and surveying departments
  • Analyse specifications and price comparisons
  • Involved in various tender enquiry documents
  • Process subcontract demand sheets

Personal Specification:

  • Experience in subcontract buying
  • Experience working within a team and knowledge within the contracting industry
  • Good commercial knowledge and the ability to take control of situations, with strong Excel spreadsheet skills
