A major civil engineering contractor are seeking a senior project manager to work on their rail sector working on multiple rail depots based in Norwich on a multi million pound project. The project will last up to 3 years with a value of Β£20 million pounds. The Project Manager will require a knowledge of tendering as well as project delivery experience within the Civil Rail Environment.
Key Duties include:
- Responsible for the business results of the project
- Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
- Communicate all project requirements to the project team
- Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
- Establish communications with Client/Representative
- Organise the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
- Implement the management system within the project team
- Lead HSQE management
- Approve Project IMS Plan and appoint duties
- Evaluate opportunities and risks
- Organise planning management
- Establish procurement deadlines
- Review and revision of contract programme
- Establish works packages
- Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub contractors and suppliers
- Contract management and supervision of project progress
- Responsible for project controlling
- Change management process
- Identify and coordinate training requirements
- Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reporting
- Collaborate in the recruitment of staff
What we are looking for:
- Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous experience as a Project Manager on Civil Rail projects
- Project Management experience
- Excellent leadership and tendering skills
- Valid Full UK Drivers licence
