- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification private sector experience, either with a residential developer or in the residential team of a planning consultancy.
- Full driving licence with a car.
Job Description/Role:
- Carry out planning appraisals of sites, assessing their suitability for immediate and strategic residential development, with a thorough understanding of current and emerging local and national planning policies.
- Lead in obtaining planning permission for residential schemes by managing sites throughout the planning process, including appointing architects and consultants, conducting pre-application meetings, submitting applications, negotiating with officers, and discharging planning conditions.
- Secure post-permission amendments through s96a and s73 applications.
- Manage planning appeals.
- Monitor emerging local development plans and submit representations to support business interests.
- Monitor council 5-year housing supply positions and advise on potential opportunities in areas of shortfall.
