My client is a well-established multi-disciplinary Civil Engineering / Build contractor based out of their HQ in Bedfordshire. As a result of a growing workload and plans for further expansion, this client is looking for Senior Geo-technical Design Engineers to join their team.
You will be joining a friendly and dynamic team to work on a wide range of projects including Civil engineering, rail, residential, commercial, and industrial. The successful candidate will be joining an extremely successful contractor with an excellent reputation and plans for further growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Completing both field and office-based projects to a high standard
- Undertaking, scoping, and reviewing Preliminary Risk Assessments
- Completing ground and geo-environmental investigation, scoping, and risk assessments
- Liaising and reporting to more senior staff members
- Interpretative report writing
- Liaising with Regulators and Local Authorities
- Offering technical advice associated with contaminated land legislation and planning regime
- Producing appraisal reports and remedial strategies
- Dealing with clients to withstand and develop good working relationships
- Relevant degree or MSc, e.g., Geology
- Working towards chartership
- Experience in providing technical contaminated land assessment and solution
- Experience from a range of sectors including: rail, residential, industrial, and commercial
- Ability to work as a team player with good communication skills
- Excellent report writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to travel to different sites
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
