The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Engineer / Agent to join a globally recognised specialist in Highways and Infrastructure.

The successful applicant will join a site engineering team at the beginning of a new highways improvement scheme in Oxfordshire which will continue to run from last year up to 2026. You will be responsible for the setting out of earthworks, services locating, drainage repairs and concrete barrier works. There will be other site management functions allocated by the Site Management team including keeping daily/weekly records and submitting RAMS, SHEQ and cost associated documentation.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working within a live Highways environment
  • Knowledge and experience of basic setting out using all techniques along with GPS
  • Ability to trace/locate existing services from drawings and use of CAT and Genny or other cable avoidance tools to provide permits to dig or issue permit to dig trial holes.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specification
  • Possess an understanding of ACP, implementation and construction tolerances
  • Have an understanding of Permit Systems and to produce permits to Work
  • Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately
  • Undertake record keeping of daily activities and any deviations of contract scope
  • Working as PC with Sub contractor as main resource for undertaking works.

Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or associated discipline
  • CSCS card
  • Health & Safety Qualification
  • NRSWA certificate - desirable
  • CAT & Genny Certified
