We are seeking a Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) to join our client in Chorley on a permanent basis. Our client is a provider of specialised rail construction services – offering a range of design, manufacturing, civil construction and installation services to the UK Rail market. They have an annual turnover of £800 million and are a Tier 1 firm. Due to an expanding workload, they are now seeking a civils Project Engineer who has acted as CRE civils to join their expert team.
As the selected candidate, you will be working on a mixture of Rail projects including:
- Rail stations
- Trams delivery and upgrade
- Platform and trackside civils works
- Other ancillary civils works
You will be required to check work completed by other engineers, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality.
Essential Requirements:
- Must have prior CRE experience
- Be Chartered with a relevant institution
- Must have railway civils experience
- Must have a civil/structural background
- Experience with Network Rail would be beneficial
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
