Pinnacle recruitment are currently looking for a Construction Manager to work on our client\’s Reservoir Maintenance Framework Contracts.
This will be predominantly working on Thames Water but also will be needed to support and assist existing Project Managers on Southern Water and South East Water.
You will be acting as the key day-to-day client interface, ensuring that the client’s objectives, specifications & requirements are met, and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets. Managing our clients clean water storage reservoir inspections & maintenance works from site set up to hand over, whilst ensuring that appropriate health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
Salary –£60,000 – £65,000 + pkg
Responsibilities
- Produce and deliver the contract programme, ensuring safe, effective, and right first time delivery of the specific contract’s requirements
- Implement, promote, enforce, and adhere to statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety.
- Accountability for all projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant client representatives.
- Scope works and submit quotes in line with framework rates.
- Contribute to supply chain selection process and provide regular feedback and manage supply chain performance
- Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress and implement actions to achieve targeted performance.
- Identify the quality expectations and record them in the Quality Plan.
- Produce and maintain site specific RAMS & Construction Phase Plans
- Implement all statutory, regulatory and company requirements for environmental and waste management.
- Ordering of plant & materials.
- Resource works appropriately.
- Develop and implement site establishment and ensure the efficient and effective management of sites.
- Management of scope change notices in accordance with the contract requirements (e.g., early warnings and compensation events).
- Responsibility for site level budget control and commercial performance.
- Record all changes to client requirements and scope of services
- Monitor the activities and performance of project, and complete internal reports as required
- Prepare monthly progress reports for management/client
- Encourage and support innovation/value engineering throughout the works.
- Processing and handover of project Health & Safety File documentation.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a project delivery role within the water or similar industry.
- Knowledge in the use of Regulation 31/DWI Approved products & materials
- Experience in minor civils works & reservoir maintenance works including Concrete Repairs, Waterproofing, Pipework & Water Fittings Installations etc.
- Full Driving Licence
- High level of capability with Microsoft Word/Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrable skills in safe and efficient planning of works to ensure high levels of utilisation across programme.
- High attention to detail to ensure works are built “right 1st time” and handed over.
