Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Commercial Lead to work for a leading main contractor within their civil engineering division. You will be working on a live rail project valued at £80m so previous experience working within rail is very much desirable, as well as a good understanding of NEC & NR type contracts as you will be working closely with Network Rail.
What we are looking for:

  • Commercial Management experience on Major projects for a first tier contractor
  • Experience of claims production and negotiation
  • Experience using the major forms of contract (NEC, ICE, NR9/12 etc.)
  • A good understanding of construction Law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Work with the project teams and be involved in all major decisions which would affect the outcome of the project
  • Work with the project teams to ensure financial controls are in place to monitor the costs and value of work undertaken
  • Maintain and enhance the relationship with the client and work with the team to deliver the project in a cost effective manner for all parties

Personal Specification:

  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management or similar
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
  • At least 10 years experience working for a main contractor within civil engineering, preferably rail
  • Consistant background, freelance or hoppy backgrounds are unlikely to be considered

Our client will provide a subsistance allowance for the right candidate so please do not be put off by the location if you plan to relocate. This is a permanent position and our client has specifically asked us to make sure that candidates are eligible to live and work on the UK.
