Overview
The role is with a top 20 residential developer specialising in new build developments, including traditional build and reinforced concrete schemes, based in Essex. The successful candidate will report into the Senior Technical Manager and work closely with the technical and architectural teams to ensure packages are delivered on time, while liaising with the commercial and production teams during development.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the technical team during the development process, including drawing packages.
- Collaborate with the architectural team to ensure packages are delivered on time.
- Liaise with the commercial and production teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Question and query design information across all disciplines to ensure quality and compliance.
- Interpret and negotiate compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, sustainability requirements, and other statutory requirements.
- Understand and interrogate design and project programmes, identifying critical paths.
- Manage people, processes and time; maintain high attention to detail; communicate effectively with all disciplines and levels.
Qualifications & Skills
- Residential developer experience of 5+ years working on multiple new build developments from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of the development/technical design process and detailed design for residential schemes using RC frame and traditional build.
- Ability to question and interrogate design information across disciplines.
- Architectural background; AutoCAD experience beneficial.
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Ability to interpret and negotiate compliance and to understand project programmes, including identifying Critical Paths.
- Educated to degree level or with a relevant professional qualification.
- Excellent communication skills across all disciplines and seniority levels; well organised and able to lead others.
- High level of attention to detail and strong team player capabilities.
