Building Surveyor – Central London
Salary: £40,000 + benefits

Summary of Role: To manage the Brief development (with client), Scope and Specification preparation (including site visits), Tender documentation preparation including tendering and pre-award negotiations and contract award for all small works projects. Including site management/supervision during the on-site activities (including commercial management/cost control, change control, variation management, health & safety and quality control). Contract completion and handover monitoring including witness testing of new facilities and the review of as built drawings and operations manuals. Contract sign off control. To provide overall Design Management and Project Management and supervision to a range of small scale Park’s construction projects from scheme design through to completion, ensuring any appointed design teams and other professionals provide agreed deliverables to the required standard and to programme. Ensure design co‑ordination between all suppliers. Lead the resolution of design matters threatening Project success.
Projects will generally range in scale from £5,000 to £100,000 in value, with some larger scale projects undertaken with the help of supply chain approved consultants.
CSCS: Black – Management CSCS Card or equivalent.
Other: I.T. competency, with at least experience or formal training in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/AutoCAD and MS Project.
H&S – NEBOSH, IOSH or SMSTS
Qualifications: BSc/HNC/HND Surveying/Engineering for example – BSc (Hons) Building Surveying.
Professional Membership: Member of MICES, RIC or similar.
Relevant Experience: Wide appreciation of relevant areas of the Construction Industry, preferably with listed building experience and multi‑project experience for large client organisations.
