We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work for a main contractor based in Wembley on a number of multi-discipline rail projects ranging from £500k – £50m. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a number of projects in this role working on a NEC form of contract, with exposure to NR.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead Quantity Surveyor on Projects / Cost Centres with assigned commercial aspects and always deal with same adopting a reasonable approach
- Display commercial astuteness
- Process weekly P&L and reserve reports as required
- Assist with the processing of the payroll as required
- Able to balance competing priorities and meet personal targets within a fluctuating & demanding workload
Essential Knowledge:
- Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent or training towards
Please note the ideal candidate should have previous contractor experience and be eligible to live and work in the UK as this is a full-time role.
