A main civil engineering / construction contractor that specialises in Infrastructure / Civils rail projects across the midlands is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The site based role will consist of being part of the surveying team in charge of the commercial management sector of the ongoing projects.
Our contracting clients is a main civil contractor delivering projects ranging up to £30 million throughout the midlands region.
Successful candidates main Duties and Responsibilities will consist of:
- Reporting to, and assisting the commercial manager.
- Preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedule of rates and cost plans.
- Analysing and collating timesheets and daily record sheets.
- Preparing monthly applications and cost versus value reports.
- Estimating time, labour and material costs by using feasibility studies.
- Analysing production performance.
- Maintaining and reviewing jobs to check efficiency and consistency.
- Competitive salary. Progression pathway to QS / Senior QS + car or car allowance
