Assistant QS – Civil Engineering / Construction
Salary: £30 – £38k + pkg

A civil engineering / ground engineering contractor specializing in piling & groundworks packages on multi-million projects across London / SE is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Working as part of the surveying team, you will be responsible for the commercial management of ongoing projects and some running co-currently.
Our contracting client is a main civil contractor, part of a major multi-million-pound organization, delivering projects up to £30 million throughout the southern region.
The main duties and responsibilities of successful candidates will include:
- Reporting to and assisting the commercial manager
- Preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedule of rates, and cost plans
- Analysing and collating timesheets and daily record sheets
- Preparing monthly applications and cost versus value reports
- Estimating time, labour, and material costs using feasibility studies
- Analyzing production performance
- Maintaining and reviewing jobs to check efficiency and consistency
- Competitive salary with a progression pathway to QS / Senior QS, plus car or car allowance
