An Assistant Engineering Surveyor is required to work for a well-respected main contractor in Central London. This contractor is a top 5 contractor in the UK with a very strong name in the construction industry, with large projects valuing up to £10 billion. They are known to have a strong pipeline of work with a strong track record from all of their schemes.
Ideal Candidate:
- You are required to have a Bachelor of Engineering Surveying OR Civil Engineering Surveying or Surveying Mapping Science degree or a similar relevant qualification.
- You are required to be a member of the Professional Surveying institution or be working towards a membership.
- You will need to be able to solve problems in a short period of time with good communication skills.
- You must be able to work well in a team for the assigned projects.
- You are required to be computer literate and have good computer skills.
Responsibilities:
- Following the health and safety standards set by the contractor.
- Horizontal and vertical control on all levels of the scheme.
- Monitoring the basement slabs for deflection and settlement every month.
- Make sure the jobs are ready for submitting for senior approval.
- Maintain a good working relationship with everyone on the project.
