Our client is a specialist International Infrastructure company, who work across the board on Engineering & Infrastructure projects. They have an exceptional position for a Bid Writer in their Hampshire location. Very flexible working arrangements for successful candidate.
As a Bid Writer, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Produce professionally written bid responses that allow our client to secure Highways Term Maintenance contracts and projects.
- Gather, collate and write material in order to meet the requirements for pre-qualification and tender submissions.
- Work to a programme of deliverables to meet tender requirements, including organising and attending workshops as appropriate, to support development of the storyboard, first draft and final draft responses.
- Capture and support development of bid win themes from tender strategy meetings and workshops.
- Write specific responses to questions in a SQ or tender.
- Keep up to date with project-specific case studies and value reports.
- Produce bespoke material to support business development and account management activities.
- Research and write supporting information for use in proposals, including case studies, CVs, project best practice and project innovations.
Who we’re looking for:
- An excellent standard of written English, with strong verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in work winning / tendering environment.
- Knowledge and experience of the techniques and methods of proposal writing.
- A thorough knowledge of Word and other Microsoft Office software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with subject matter expertise outside of the core team.
- A self-starter who can manage their own time and who proactively seeks and executes activities that will add value.
Desired qualities:
- Degree in relevant subject.
- APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level.
- Knowledge of the construction industry or experience within a project-based organisation.
