We are seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Manager to join a high-quality Ofsted-regulated children’s residential service based in Slough. This is a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF). You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people, while leading and developing a dedicated staff team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the home operates in line with Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and embed a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring the welfare and protection of young people is always prioritised.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in Ofsted inspections, working towards achieving Good or Outstanding outcomes.
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, and training.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies in line with individual needs.
- Monitor and improve service quality through internal audits.
