The company is based in Consett, County Durham and specialises in the reverse engineering of rotating equipment. We service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK and abroad; from multi-stage, high pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps. Due to considerable growth, we now require a labourer to join our busy service department.
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, this person will control the company’s goods inward/outwards department. This is a key role in a busy department which requires the applicant to be well-organised, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a warehouse environment, who can converse with colleagues at every level and has basic IT skills. Experience of stock control would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Packing products ready for shipping
- Booking goods in and out using the company’s MRP system
- Issuing stock to departments, booking in/out of MRP system
- Monitor and report discrepancies and non-compliances
- Loading/unloading vehicles with incoming/outgoing goods using a forklift truck
- General housekeeping duties
- Driving company vehicles on an ad-hoc basis
- Other shop floor and administrative duties as assigned by line manager
Person Specification
- Forklift truck licence desirable (if you have an expired licence, the company will re-train in-house)
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Flexible approach to tasks
- Ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel essential
- Experience of an ERP/MRP system
Package
- Salary: £13.45 per hour (£25,878 pa)
- 37 Hours per week: Monday – Thursday 07:30 -16:00, Friday 07:30-12:30
